Collection: Barbara Siwik

Barbara Siwik grew up in Falkenberg/Elster after the Second World War and lives in Braunsbedra near Merseburg. She worked for many years as a librarian in the Merseburg municipal library, which she also managed from 1991 until her retirement. She is a member of the Saxony-Anhalt Association of German Writers.

She is open to everything positive that the future holds, but she is also eager to dig into the past. In her novels, she writes about the tangible. That is why she travels a lot, especially to Israel, where she has found a second home in Jerusalem.

AKRES Publishing - The publishing house for history, antiquity, society and archaeology

As a specialist publisher with a fiction product line, we publish literature related to history, art history, antiquity, contemporary history and archaeology. It is always our concern to relocate small and large issues alike and to acknowledge them appropriately.

Working closely with authors and editors, we encourage the publication of revised and updated new editions. With history and classical studies literature from different countries and in several languages, we cross historical borders and bring the international readership a whole lot closer!
