Collection: Samer Al Najjar

In his first novel, which was first published in Arabic in 2020, Samer Al Najjar addresses the events of contemporary Syrian history. The Syrian-born author, who himself immigrated to Germany in 2014, uses his literary work to respond to the tragedies his country has been plunged into.

Samer Al Najjar studied German and political science in Düsseldorf. In 2021, he received scholarships from the Heimstatt Foundation Niederberg and the Adalbert and Thilda Colsman Foundation.

AKRES Publishing - The publishing house for history, antiquity, society and archaeology

As a specialist publisher with a fiction product line, we publish literature related to history, art history, antiquity, contemporary history and archaeology. It is always our concern to relocate small and large issues alike and to acknowledge them appropriately.

Working closely with authors and editors, we encourage the publication of revised and updated new editions. With history and classical studies literature from different countries and in several languages, we cross historical borders and bring the international readership a whole lot closer!
