Collection: Günter Krieger

Günter Krieger tells history from an intimate perspective. As a native of the Rhineland, he knows the settings of his novels not only geographically, but also culturally and in terms of their mental and cultural history. For many years he has dedicated himself to the Middle Ages between Aachen and the Eifel region – with a keen sense for regional depth, tragic love stories, and the darker aspects of historical reality.

AKRES Publishing - The publishing house for history, antiquity, society and archaeology

As a specialist publisher with a fiction product line, we publish literature related to history, art history, antiquity, contemporary history and archaeology. It is always our concern to relocate small and large issues alike and to acknowledge them appropriately.

Working closely with authors and editors, we encourage the publication of revised and updated new editions. With history and classical studies literature from different countries and in several languages, we cross historical borders and bring the international readership a whole lot closer!
